Kui mina oleksin president Ilves ja sõbraliku naaberriigi president Putin õnnitleks mind iseseisvuspäeva puhul, soovides paljurahvuselisele Eestile õitsengut, siis tänaksin ma teda südamlikult ja sooviksin omakorda paljurahvuselise Venemaa rahvastele iseseisvumist ja õitsengut, vene rahvale aga seda, et Venemaa aladel leiduks kas või killuke maad, kus vene inimesed saaksid tunda end selle maa peremehena.
